Zoe-perry
Perry was born on the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not want her to pursue acting until she became older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved from Boston University. Perry started her acting career as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry return to California and pursue a career as a stage actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. In the same year, the actress was selected to play a young character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen character of her mom's character. The character was picked by auditions, even though she had a close relationship with the show.
