Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer, and song writer. Most people know her by the title of Erica Goldberg, from the television comedy 'The Goldbergs. But she is primarily musician. At the age of 9 older, she started dabbling into music. At the age 12, she took the music seriously enough that she began studying professionally. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was 14 when she released her first album of cover songs. It was the beginning of her career. Orrantia was raised in the USA, yet holds Hispanic heritage. Although she was raised speaking only English and never lived in Mexico she's extremely satisfied with her Hispanic roots. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs, she tries to keep the culture alive. The most famous of these songs is 'Hasta Verte,' which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia performed for The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses" (or votes) by the judges at The Seattle audition. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. But, three other female vocalists as well as her were brought together for auditions of other tracks. The live performances were held in the fifth week.
